16 May Team Building for Team DTSA
The DTSA team spent 3 days with St Johns Ambulance in Derby refreshing, and in some cases, learning first aid skills for the first time.
Covering everything from splinters and nose bleeds through to shock, heart attacks and severe allergic reactions and much more besides, the intensive course made for a perfect team building exercise.
The trainers were professional and friendly, making for a really good learning envirnoment, and with regular assessments, the team left the training centre feeling confident that they could assist in an emergency.
“I haven’t done a first aid training course before and I found it fascinating. Some useful acronyms help you to assess situations quickly and efficiently as you go along, and although I hope never to have to employ some of the more serious life-saving actions, I feel much more confident knowing that I have some new skills to apply should I find myself in that situation.
