Deb was appointed the DTSA Director in April 2018, her priorities at DTSA over the last couple of years have been strengthening the Secondary provision in ITTE and support for schools with SLEs, and ensuring continuity of provision for Primary. DTSA utilise the support of three NLEs; three NLGs; and more than 70 SLEs. DTSA have strengthened their Governance support and regularly now hold Zoom meetings online, and most of our ITTE delivery has now moved online. From April 1st DTSA became the Science Learning Partnership for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, and we continue to provide bespoke courses for SLTs; Governors; and Trusts through DGP, through the help of our facilitators.
Having previously run the MA Education programme at the Centre for Teacher Education, University of Warwick for three years, and having taught on a range of programmes at the University of Derby for eight years. A qualified 11-18 teacher, Deb taught Social Sciences in secondary education for 12 years prior to her university teaching and was an A-Level Government & Politics examiner for European Politics. Her Education Doctorate was on Educational Leadership in the International Baccalaureate (IB), and was awarded in 2017. Deb has been involved in Teacher Education for the last twenty-five years, is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching; Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and Senior Fellow of the HE Academy.
Externally to DTSA, Deb is Vice-Chair of BELMAS Council, where she co-convenes the Leadership Preparation and Development Research Interest Group (RIG) for BELMAS, and she is Vice-Chair of Trustees at Embark Multi-Academy Trust. Deb is a former elected member of IPDA’s International Committee, and has been a Governor and Trustee in an Outstanding 11-18 Derbyshire comprehensive school; she is also a Member of the Trust of an Outstanding secondary school that delivers the IB in Hertfordshire. Deb is a Network Lead for @WomenEd East Midlands, and is passionate about ensuring equity of access of senior posts in education to diverse groups. She is an Associate of Educational Equity Services, and an EdD Supervisor at the University of Liverpool

Anna has over twenty years experience in the education and financial sector. With a background in teaching both Finance and Mathematics in Secondary and Further Education including winning awards from IPPM, World Skills and IAB for her personal financial accolades as well as her teaching.
Anna also works as an examiner for AQA at Secondary level on GCSE Mathematics and brings her expertise to DTSA.
Anna works full-time and manages all DTSA Finance and HR matters while also administering our STEM Science Learning Partnership programmes and courses.

Lauren qualified from Derby University in 2002 with a combined honours degree in HR, Business Management and Career Management. She has over 15 years experience in the education sector organising major events and conferences having started her career working in the Education CPD team in the Local Authority and progressed to being Programme Officer.
Lauren went on to help form Derby Schools Learning Partnership and develop all the back office systems that saw the partnership flourish before it developed to become DTSA.
Hannah has worked in marketing and publishing for over 15 years and manages the administration for the family business. She has been a Parent Governor for a primary school, Parent Member of the Babington Children’s Centre Advisory Board and is also a bookbinding tutor in her spare time.
Hannah has worked with us since August 2017 as Events Administrator and combines her business, events, marketing and production experience in her part-time role as DTSA Programme Officer.
Hannah received a commendation for the Women in Leadership (Level 7) programme from University of Nottingham in Spring 2021.

Frances has an honours degree in criminology and has lived and studied in West Africa and comes from a Psychiatric Liaison background in the NHS, and Education (training and apprenticeships).
She has worked for DTSA since 2016 on a part-time basis administering all aspects of the Primary School Direct programme from applications and interviewing to programme training support for trainers, trainees and mentors.
Frances maintains a supportive link between The University of Derby and DTSA.
