The Curiosity Project is the Nottingham Festival of Science and Curiosity schools programme, encouraging pupils to be curious and ask questions. Linking them with active researchers they work together to create real and authentic investigations into their questions. We want to support teachers across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire to embed curiosity-led learning in the classroom and provide opportunities for pupils to collaborate with scientists.
Working with STEM Learning to run 3 CPD sessions for teachers:
We will explore the concept of science capital; what it is and how it can inform curriculum planning. Delivered by Jane Banham, STEM Learning.
We will explore techniques for supporting curiosity in the classroom. Delivered by Megan Shore, Nottingham Festival of Science and Curiosity.
We will explore working with external organisations, and more about taking part in the Curiosity Project. Delivered by Rick Hall, from Ignite!
