Integrating climate change into the secondary curriculum

Climate change is among the greatest threats and challenges of our time. From scientific analysis and technology to global political debate, tackling climate change requires a multi-disciplinary approach and encompasses a wide range of topics. During this course, you will learn about the science behind climate change, the strategies that are being employed to tackle the problem and explore creative ways to integrate this topic into the secondary curriculum.

This 6 hour programme can be delivered to your science department as a full day INSET training (for science teachers and geography teachers) or as 4 x 1.5 hour twilights.

OFFER

If your school agrees to be invoiced £185 per delegate for the training, pays the invoice and completes the course then STEM will send £400 to the school bank account for each completion.  That means for every teacher that completes this programme £215 of money can be added to your departmental budget to do with what you wish – whether that be extra CPD or new materials for the lab.

Please contact STEM@dtsa.org.uk urgently to avoid missing out on this offer.  First come = first served.

At present we have unlimited bursaries for Tier 2 and Tier 3 maintained schools, but we do not know when STEM will close the programme, so contact us now to avoid missing out.

Cost: £185
