Primary science maths courses for teachers. The following packages provide opportunities to network and learn with colleagues in the same role in other schools. The sessions are aimed at subject leaders and other key school staff. Each session is professionally facilitated by STEM consultants.

Please note, online bookings close 36 hours before course start date. Last minute bookings can be made by email and not the website.

Maths Network

Network Meetings are a chance for collaboration with your peers so you can share information and develop as a leader. Expert consultants will help you identify priority issues in teaching and learning and professional development for your teams. You will be able to develop solutions, drawing on the expertise within the group. This strengthening of informal school-to-school support will create an effective network of information, advice and guidance.

Linking Science and Maths

Linking science and maths:

Collecting analysing and presenting data in science requires and provides opportunity for the use and development of mathematical skills. Throughout this course you will identify how to maximise your pupil’s opportunities to develop their numeracy skills, measuring and statistical maths (data handling) and improve attainment in science by planning lessons in which children have the opportunity to apply their mathematical skills in a practical environment; Plan science activities that develop mathematical skills; Identify the progression of mathematical and science skills; Use science activities to effectively assess mathematical skills.
