These development days are open to headteachers or appropriate senior leadership of any type of school in the city or county. The days focus on the leadership of learning and give opportunities to address your own issues from your own context.
The course will enable senior leadership to develop high quality relationships and partnerships, provide opportunities to share experiences and develop professionally and to find quality time to reflect and take part in individual, small and whole group activities that improve a head’s ability to lead on learning.
“Curriculum input in the morning was spot on for my school and our current agenda.”
“Always good to ask questions, only another Headteacher can answer!”
Where physical meetings cannot be held, online meetings are being held at a cost of £100 per person, per session.

To learn more about these programmes, please contact Deborah Othwaite on 01332 706806 for an informal chat.
The process involves around a half day’s work with the NLE (please see the list of DTSA NLEs in School to School Support).
During the programme you will self – review and suggest targets and then discuss this with your DTSA contact. Performance Management Governors will meet to discuss and suggest targets for the coming year and records of discussion will be made for your use.
NEW for 2019
We are offering a bespoke package for new headteachers from an NLE acting as a mentor/coach with the time to be used as agreed (please see the list of DTSA’s NLEs in School to School Support).
This will give all new heads a chance to learn about local networks and partnerships that new colleagues may find useful as well as an insight into local and regional issues schools are facing in these changing times.
This programme is aimed at those who are new to their leadership role – whether middle or senior leadership – and those who aspire to the next step in their career as leader.
During the programme participants will gain clarity about what highly effective leadership and management looks like whilst developing skills and techniques to help them to support and empower others. It will cover how to hold others to account and have difficult conversations whilst leading and managing change using a coaching approach/model to your role as a leader
