| Register with STEM | To access the STEM online science courses that we offer you must first create an account with STEM. Once you have registered you will need the activity code (ie RK298 A01) to book onto the course. Registration is quick and simple! |
| Bookings | Online bookings close 36 hours before course start date. Last minute bookings can be made by email and not the website. For any queries regarding a course please contact Anna Cummings on STEM@dtsa.org.uk. |

| How do I book onto a STEM course? | To access science courses you must first create an account with STEM. Register here at www.stem.org.uk |
| How are STEM Certificates awarded? | They are awarded as web-enabled ‘Digital badges’ that can be posted online to various social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. This digital image will contain verified metadata that describes your qualifications and the process required to earn them. |
| Who is Acclaim? |
STEM Certificates are awarded through a system called Acclaim. STEM Learning has partnered with Credly Acclaim, a badging platform backed by Pearson, to translate the STEM Certificate you have earned into a digital badge. The technology Acclaim uses enables you to manage, share and verify your STEM Certificate digitally. Acclaim is an enterprise-class Open Badge platform. Acclaim works with credible organisations such as City and Guilds and the ILM to provide digital badges to individuals. |
| How will I know if I have earned a STEM Certificate? | You will receive an email notification from admin@youracclaim.com or noreply@youracclaim.com with instructions for claiming your badge and setting up your account for managing, sharing and verifying your STEM Certificate. |
| How will I receive my STEM Certificate? |
When you earn a STEM Certificate, you will receive an email from Acclaim inviting you to claim your badge. The notification will have come from STEM Learning via Acclaim admin@youracclaim.com · Click the link in the email. · Create an account on the Acclaim site. · Claim your badge and start sharing |
| Where and how can I share my STEM Certificate? | Every STEM Certificate and profile in Acclaim has a unique URL that can be shared from the platform to LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter – via email, embedded in a website, or on a résumé. You can also add your STEM Certificate to an email signature. |
| I should have been issued a STEM Certificate but never received a notification email. How can I get my STEM Certificate? | Contact awards@stem.org.uk and be sure to add admin@youracclaim.com and noreply@youracclaim.com to you organisation’s email safe sender list (whitelist) |

| Can I have a printed version of my certificate? | STEM Certificates can only be issued as digital badges. However, we will shortly be adding the functionality to print a certificate from the Acclaim platform. |
| What if I don’t want my STEM Certificate, or to be contacted about them in the future |
There are various reasons why a CPD participant might not want to engage with the initiative. We are able to revoke certificates and permanently remove their details from the platform. We can also flag you as not wanting to be offered further certificates in the future. Please contact awards@stem.org.uk |
